About the Role:
A leading international law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its highly regarded Aviation Finance practice in Singapore. The team is widely recognised as one of the pre-eminent aviation finance practices in Asia, acting for major airlines, international banks, lessors and export credit agencies on complex cross-border transactions across the region.
Key Responsibilities
You will work alongside senior partners on a broad range of aviation finance matters, including aircraft acquisition and disposal transactions, cross-border lease financings such as operating leases, finance leases and sale and leasebacks, and export credit agency-backed financings. You will also advise on structured finance products including JOLCOs and other tax-based leasing structures, aircraft portfolio transactions, and airline restructurings and enforcement matters.
Key Requirements
- 4 to 6 years' post-qualification experience on a UK or equivalent common law scale
- Qualified in England and Wales, Singapore, or another recognised common law jurisdiction
- Prior experience in aviation finance or asset finance at an international law firm
- Strong academic background
- Ability to manage transactions independently across multiple jurisdictions
- Mandarin or other Asian language skills advantageous but not required
